According to data released by the American Iron and Steel Institute (AISI), the US's weekly crude steel output totaled 1.904 million short tons in the week ended on May 18th, down by 1.2% from a week ago while falling by 3.4% year on year.
In the given period of time, the country's average capability utilization was at 79.5%, higher than 78.5% in a week ago.
